Children

Are you looking for a place where your children can get a firm foundation in their faith and are a valuable part of the life of the church?

First Church offers your child an opportunity to grow in mind, body, and spirit using age appropriate activities.  You will find that your child won't want to miss the various activities geared especially for them and at their own level.
  • SUNDAY SCHOOL is offered for children and mid-kids (5th & 6th grades).  Each group is divided by age or grade level and meets during the 9:45 AM Sunday School hour.
  • WORSHIP EXPRESS is held during the 11:00 AM Worship service and is Children's Worship aimed at their own level of development.
  • PRESCHOOL BIBLE TIME is held every Wednesday at 11:30 am in the Christian Life Center (CLC).  This is an exciting, high energy, and fun bible gathering where we bring the bible to life!  Everyone is invited to attend!  You won't want to miss it!
  • CHILDREN'S BIBLE TIME is held every Wednesday at 6:10 PM in Room 117.  We use the same format as our Preschool Bible Time. Everyone is invited to attend!
CHILDREN'S FELLOWSHIP EVENTS:  There are many opportunities for children to enjoy fellowship throughout the year.  Vacation Bible School in 2017 is set for June 19-23 and will be an over-the-top experience for kids.  We hold a Spring Celebration in April, a Harvest Celebration in the Fall, an Advent/Christmas Celebration in December, and other events throughout the Christian seasons, and we hold several movie nights through the year!

CHILDREN'S MISSIONS: We collect coins, collect food for Feed the Kids, a local program to feed children of low-income families at Edgelea School, and many other mission opportunities that may be needed throughout the year.

CHILDREN'S MUSIC OPPORTUNITIES:  Want to sing?  Want to play chimes?  There is a group for you! Contact Ellen Wilson @ 743-1285 to find out all the exciting opportunities!
