Patterson Scholarship
D. H. Patterson Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship honors the memory of Mr. D. H. Patterson, long-time member of First United Methodist Church, the West Lafayette community, and the faculty of Purdue University.
This application must be completed and submitted to the First United Methodist Church office. The application will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee of First United Methodist Church Foundation. Information contained herein will be treated confidentially
Scholarship qualifications and specifics are as follows:
o The recipient of the scholarship must be a student at Purdue University, pursuing a four-year degree.
o A former recipient of the scholarship may re-apply annually, up to three times.
o The scholarship is administered as an interest free loan, forgivable upon completion of the degree. If the degree is not completed, the scholarship loan is to be repaid at the time the degree program is discontinued.
Preference will be given to an applicant who has been active in the programs of Wesley Foundation and/or First United Methodist Church, West Lafayette.

Provide a letter of reference from your current church pastor, and a transcript of at least your previous 2 full years of academic work (high school/college). Applications must be submitted with the original and 5 copies, including all supporting documents. Applications that do not follow these directions will not be eligible for consideration.
